Some members of the Cameroon Community Media Network for the Northwest Chapter (Pedmia Shatu Tita, Mokun Njouny Nelson and Jude Ntam) who were among members of other chapters at a training of trainers workshop, have on the 28th restitute knowledge gathered during the 5days training.


The training which took place in Buea from Dec 2 to 6 saw participants gain knowledge on the following topics; Introduction to Peace Journalism, Conflict sensitive Reporting, Conflict Transformation and Conflict analysis, mis and disinformation/ FakeNews, Conflict analysis, Effective communication via Social media, Introduction to Humanitarian Reporting and importantly, the restructuring of CCMN. It is worth mentioning that CCMN during the training of trainers workshop saw the birth of 6 other regions taking the number to 8regions out of 10.

The Northwest Region retained the position of the National Coordinator and doubles as the project Lead for the Northwest and west Region till march when the West and Northwest will be regarded as two separate regions.

The constitution was discussed and members gave inputs which the National Coordinator will channel to the national assembly.

Members remained grateful that the Northwest Chapter stood out in excellence not just occupying the National Cordinator position but two of its former members who left for the Center and the Littoral Regions (Moma Sandrine and Liengu Etaka Regina Esong), now commend CCMN in the Centre and Littoral Regions respectively.
